Technology
For more information on any of the below technology services, please contact the OCE Learning Technology Services Team at learningtech@illinois.edu.
OCE provides access to and/or training for a number of different high-quality learning technologies that can be used to enhance your course or program including:
Collaborate Web Conferencing (formerly Elluminate): Award-winning synchronous conferencing with Web, audio, video, and social networking solutions. Pricing is free for offerings through OCE. For offerings with a residential audience, here is detailed pricing information for FY13 (Summer 2012 - Spring2013) for your information. Check out the Blackboard Collaborate Products page for more details.
Collaborate Voice Authoring (formerly Wimba): Web-based voice solution that facilitates and promotes vocal instruction, collaboration, coaching, and assessment. Pricing is free for offerings through OCE, and negotiable for on-campus offerings. See the Collaborate Voice Authoring Overview page for more information.
ProctorU: Live online proctoring. ProctorU is an online proctoring service that allows exam takers to complete their assessment at home (or any location with internet access). Coupled with authentication, this service prevents cheating and imposters while ensuring the integrity of the exam. More information is available on the OCE Source Page for ProctorU.
Course Technical Assistants: Faculty should be able to concentrate on teaching and not worry about whether a student has an audio issue with his/her headset. OCE has trained students on our staff ready to be assigned to your course and assist with any technology issues that might arise during synchronous (live) delivery. Advance notice is required.
In partnership with other units…
